Just a few kilometres south of Naples, a peninsula faces the Mediterranean Sea and is so beautiful and fascinating that Unesco has chosen it as one of the best examples of the stunning beauty of Italian landscapes: the Amalfi Coast.
A land rich in history, traditions and flavours, enhanced by views and panoramas that cannot be found elsewhere. It is no coincidence that in the 1960s the Amalfi Coast became the favourite destination of international jet set, a happy oasis for the protagonists of politics, cinema and show business from all over the world.
It is impossible to visit the Amalfi Coast without first stopping at Amalfi and Positano, the two most precious jewels of this area. This one-day trip will allow you to discover their souls, together with a group of maximum 15 people. You will meet your fellow travellers and the tour leader at the Roma Termini railway station and depart for Salerno, aboard the high-speed train included in the package.
From Salerno you will reach Amalfi by ferry: the perfect way to explore the Amalfi Coast and enjoy the best views of the slopes overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea’s crystal-clear waters, dotted with delightful, colourful buildings and the lush Mediterranean scrub. Once docked in Amalfi, you will have the opportunity to explore this enchanting town at your leisure: lose yourself in its alleys, artisan workshops and admire the square overlooked by the Cathedral.
Then set off for Positano, again by ferry: once you reach the shore you will immerse yourself in a living painting, which you will experience intensely for about two and a half hours. Enjoy the sights, sandy beaches and elegant shops, before taking the ferry back to Salerno, where the high-speed train to Rome awaits you. Arrival in the capital is scheduled for 8.30 pm.
